Breathtaking Sela pass
Breathtaking Sela pass, the gate way of Tawang .

Sela pass is a high altitude mountain pass, located in between border of West Kameng and Tawang district. It has an elevation of 4,170 meter(13,700ft) to the Tawang town to Tezpur. It is breath taking place. Best time to visit this place are October, November, March, April, May as there are less chances of route being snowed due to snowfall. The place is opened throughout the year. Tourists can experience slice of heaven on earth in this place. Landscape of the high mountain range at Sela pass, beautiful scenery of snow capped mountains and snow on mountain top is breathtaking.

Frozen Sela lake with scenic alpanine ladscape is one of the main attraction in winter. Domestic yaks are grazing in alpine valley near Sela pass.

Jaswant Garh is 21km away from Sela pass. This is ashrine to Jaswant Singh Rawat who posthumously won Maha Vir Chakra during the battle of Nuranang of 1962 Sino-Indian war.

It is said that this brave soldier alone kept the Chinese soldiers bay for 72 hours. Now, Indian Govt. built a memorial in his name where his statue has been established with the story of his bravery. This place is in high altitude. So, the place is very cold.

Nuranang waterfall
Jung waterfalls is one of the main tourist attractions of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal pradesh is blessed with the resources of mighty Himalayas. Jung waterfalls is known by many names such as Bong Bong falls or Nuranang falls. The drop altitude of Nuranag waterfalls is about 100 meter. This spectacular waterfall is one of the USP of the Arunachal Pradesh tourism.
