Fulbari wetland

Fulbari canal is located at distance of 10 km from Siliguri. This reservoir attracts large number of Migratory birds in winter. Winter visitors arrive on this wetland in the middle of November and depart in the fast week of March.Eurasian wigeon Japlaiguri district is the home of Fulbari wetland, which spans over 4.90 sq km from Nayabasti to main barrage.Fulbari 1,2 and portion of Phansidewa block, Which inclufr three vilages of Porajha,Barapathuram and Paschim Dhantala are part of the Rajgank and Phansidewa block. Which Governs the entire area.Enthusiastic bird lovers and photographers visit this place during the period. The birds float on river making relationship. Various species of migratory birds includes Ruddy Shelduck,Blak-winged stilt Bar headed goose, Northern lapwing ,Gadwall etc arrive every year from Tibet, Siberia, Mongolia . There is also bushland at Porajhar, the western side of river.Bluethroat in bushland some endanger species like yellow breasted bunting sighted every year.Siberian rubythroat is also one of the main attractions of Porajhar
